HSO - GS - X++ Developer

We are seeking a talented and experienced X++ Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of solid experience in X++ development, particularly within the context of Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 Finance and Operations. As an X++ Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining X++ code to support various business processes and customizations within the Dynamics AX/D365 environment.

Responsibilities:

1. X++ Development: Develop and maintain X++ code to customize and enhance functionalities within Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 Finance and Operations according to business requirements.
2. Customization and Integration: Design and implement customizations, integrations, and extensions using X++ to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.
3. Technical Analysis: Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using X++.
4. Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting/debugging to ensure the quality and stability of developed solutions.
5. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize X++ code for improved performance and scalability of the system.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation including design documents, technical specifications, and test plans.
7. Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing X++ codebase, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes and enhancements as needed.
8. Adherence to Best Practices: Follow best practices and coding standards for X++ development, version control, and deployment processes.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including functional consultants, QA testers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Requirements

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in X++ development within the Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 Finance and Operations environment.
3. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 development tools including MorphX, X++, Visual Studio, and .NET framework.
5. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database design principles.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
9. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
