HR Team Lead - Germany

The Team

Join our team as the head of HR Germany, where you'll be at the forefront of shaping and directing the human resources landscape across the region. You'll guide a dedicated local HR team, lend your expertise to complex employee relations cases, and engage with works councils, ensuring a cohesive workplace. Your role will marry high-level strategic planning with hands-on management, allowing you to make a tangible impact on our operations and culture in Europe.

Key tasks

  • Work with the relevant teams to ensure complete delivery for our (global) people agenda, processes, policies in country.
  • Solve for compliance matters and review local policies in the context of the market.
  • Work with the COE teams on translating local requirements, prioritizing and mitigating local risks.
  • Provide local context and advice on key HR related matters to manager, employees and HR organizations including COEs.
  • Develop and manage a productive relationship with the local Workers Councils.
  • Lead, engage and manage the local HR team (HR Management and HR Operations) and include colleagues for the extended HR Team (Talent Acquisition, Organization Development).
  • Design and lead meaningful local employee engagement initiatives.
  • Meaningful experience in HR leadership roles, preferably within a multinational organization.
  • At least 2+ years of working directly with a German Wokers Council (Betriebsräte)
  • Robust knowledge of German labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Proven track record of managing HR processes, ensuring compliance, and leading teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
