About the team

Angi is looking for an HR Operations Manager to join the People Operations team. This role will be a key player in helping to transition the HR team to a Shared Services model. It will be both strategic and operational in nature. We need someone who can easily switch between a 20,000-foot view and digging in the sand at the drop of a hat. This role creates value for the business by creating HR structure and compliance so that the business leaders are free to focus on other parts of their jobs. 

What you’ll do

  • Hire, manage, and retain a small team of Benefit/Leave Specialists and HR Operations representatives. 
  • Manage the Leave of Absence and Accommodation processes, including creating and updating documented processes, managing vendors, improving processes, and reporting for the US.
  • Manage the Leave of Absence and Benefits process for our Canadian team. 
  • Lead the HR Ops reps in all things foundational HR. 
  • Manage HR compliance, including the Employee Handbook, policy management site, and required compliance training and acknowledgment.
  • Manage Unemployment Claim process. 
  • Create a strategic viewpoint and performance metrics for the HR Ops team. 
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other cross-functional teams to diagnose and implement solutions needed to improve operational effectiveness
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and partners. 
  • Act as an exceptional people manager, providing trusted leadership, guidance, and direction. 
  • Manage vendor relationships where applicable.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5+ years of HR Operations and/or Shared Services experience. 
  • Experience managing Leaves of Absence, Workplace Accommodations, Benefits and Compliance. 
  • Experience with HR processes, including Leave of Absence, Employee Handbooks, Benefits, etc. 
  • People leadership experience
  • Must be willing and able to flex between high-level, strategic thinking to diving deep and getting your hands dirty.   
  • Must be self-driven and able to work autonomously. 
  • Focus on customer service and working effectively with multiple people, departments, and levels within the organization.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary band for this position ranges $115,000 - 135,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living. 
  • This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
