We're looking for an Onboarding coordinator to join our people team. Reporting to our Head of People, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for new hires joining Motorway.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the onboarding process from start to finish, welcoming and integrating new employees into our company culture. This will encompass a number of responsibilities such as inductions, process improvement, logistical coordination and generating initiatives in areas like training.

You will be a key member of our people team, working with the people team and wider business to run a seamless and delightful experience for our employees and managers at Motorway.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate and oversee the onboarding process for new employees at Motorway, including scheduling induction sessions, preparing materials, and arranging necessary resources.
  • Welcome new joiners, being an in-person representative of the people team and an ambassador for the same standard of onboarding across teams
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with Motorway’s goals, particularly within the Customer Experience department.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the wider people team to understand the onboarding journey, any pain points, improvements, or opportunities 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the onboarding journey to ensure a 5* star comes as a standard approach for Motorway’s new employees.
  • Conduct follow-up activities to gather feedback and continuously provide recommendations to improve the onboarding experience at Motorway.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, room setup, and participant registration.
  • Maintain accurate records of onboarding activities and employee information in compliance with Motorway’s policies and requirements such as GDPR training
  • Coordinate with various departments, such as IT and facilities, to ensure new employees have the necessary tools and access to perform their roles effectively.
  • Assist in the administration of any learning platforms, including user management, content upload, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Organisational skills: having the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities effectively
  • Tech stack: you're proficient in use of technology such Google sheets and slides
  • You have a track record of operating in a professional environment and a natural ability to make people feel at ease
  • You are accountable: taking end to own ownership with a 5* standard approach
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels
  • Meticulous in completing relevant documents and maintaining accurate records
  • Team player: collaborative mindset, willing to work closely with other HR colleagues and department managers
  • Problem-solving: proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
  • Experience and education: previous experience in HR and/or related fields such as administration or training is required
