Are you an experienced HR Manager with HR expertise in the UK and other international markets wanting a change or looking for the next step within your HR career?

We looking for an dynamic and engaging HR professional to join our MMR Family HR team to lead our 2 of our creative brands based in the UK, The Together Agency and Ideal Insight, as well as leading Global HR projects and initiatives.

The MMR Family comprises of MMR Research Worldwide, an independent, global consumer and sensory research agency specialising in food, drink, personal and household care research, Huxly (our brand consultancy agency), Nova (our innovation hub), Ideal Insight (a video production company), and The Together Agency (a marketing agency). Across all these brands, we partner with over 50% of the top 100 global food and drink brands.

The MMR Family HR team supports 850 highly engaged, multi-disciplined employees across the globe, who are based in the UK, US, The Netherlands, China, Singapore, India, Thailand, South Africa, Colombia and Brazil.

Purpose of the role:

Due to the growth of the overall MMR Family companies, we are looking for a Global HR Manager to join our proactive and energetic Global HR Team, taking the lead and supporting the employees of our 2 most creative brands, The Together Agency and Ideal Insight. In addition, the Global HR Manager will have the responsibility of driving initiatives such as D&I, wellbeing and benefit management across the global MMR Family.

You will be part of an exceptional team who offer unprecedented support, while still operating in a truly autonomous manner. The Together Agency are based in Nottingham, Ideal Insight are based in London, therefore ideally the Global HR Manager will spend time in both locations, supporting 50 employees (expectations would be once a month in each location).

The Global HR Manager will be working together with the global HR Team based in Oxford and Durban (South Africa), working as a team to expand and develop the people strategy across all of the brands.  The Global HR Manager will also have the opportunity to oversee the people agenda for some of the MMR Family regions (depending on country experience).  What you will be doing:

  • Acting as the stand-alone Global HR Manager for Together and Ideal Insight, you will be the first point of contact for all employees and managers for these brands, providing expert advice on all day-to-day HR generalist matters, as well as complete accountability of the full HR lifecycle spectrum.
  • Providing comprehensive working knowledge of UK employment law, to provide full guidance on governmental, compliance and industry trend, including keeping abreast of existing policies and procedures and developing new ones as and when required
  • Providing unprecedented, approachable and confidential assistance and support to managers to drive and uphold the culture of the Company.
  • Working in partnership with managers to ensure that employees are adequately inducted and trained to carry out their roles while working collaboratively with other divisions.
  • Working in tandem with the Global HR team to implement HR initiatives, and take a lead in driving forward the D&I and wellbeing/mental health programmes, identifying external trends and recognising best practice which will increase diversity among the workforce
  • Taking a lead role in managing all of the different benefits across the globe
  • Taking ownership of the HR function for a dedicated region – flexible based on individual’s prior experience
  • To promote and communicate internal initiatives on social media, when appropriate, to build up the company’s employer brand externally

 

Requirements

  • You have a proven ability to influence and drive change with business leadership team: being a self-starter and demonstrating assertiveness and confidence.
  • Gravitas to work closely with the leadership team and influence their decision making.
  • You have proven knowledge of, and experience with, a wide array of HR programs and practices including performance management, compensation, coaching, employee relations, and organizational development in the UK.
  • You possess a strong affinity to data and analytics, such as measuring and forecasting diversity metrics.
  • You demonstrate a strong understanding of different HR tools, such as HRIS, reward management, training and development.
  • You have excellent communication skills, are articulate and possess and drive for true credibility and integrity.
  • You have an approach which is adaptable, positive, engaging and a true desire to get things done.  You really are prepared to roll your sleeves up and are happy to do all the tasks needed to produce great work. 
  • You have a proven experience in a HR generalist role – you really must have working appreciation of all fields within HR.
