What’s it all about?

Visa Europe is seeking a HR Manager to provide generalist and specialist HR advice and guidance to our colleagues. This role will work directly with leadership teams, colleagues and People Business Partners (PBPs) to address client HR needs. This individual will be a key member of the PA/PBP team, supporting the organisations in Europe, and will work closely with cross-functional partners to successfully plan and execute HR programmes and services to the business. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who is passionate about delivering great employee experiences and who wants to broaden their HR experience in a culture which supports career growth.

The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating challenges in the dynamic payments sector and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment with significant change, employing innovative HR practices and process that enable the organisation to thrive and grow.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Support the PBPs with the execution of people plans, programmes, and initiatives across Europe. Lead on consultative HR support for these groups and partner with key stakeholders such as People Advisors – Analysts to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Coach and advise mangers and leaders on HR policies and processes, demonstrating pragmatism, flexibility and the ability to challenge where required.  Remaining calm under pressure, able to prioritise and problem solve.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence and PBPs to influence and support the implementation of both People and business programmes and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the People team and client groups by developing and executing best practices, promoting employee engagement and enabling a high-performing workforce to contribute to the company's strategic growth.
  • Provide coaching and consultative level support on HR solutions such as Performance Management, Change Management, Talent Management, Leadership, L&D, Talent Acquisition and Reward. For example, the Manager would be, planning and run the talent meetings and .
  • Represent Europe as Europe Lead on Global People Advisory projects, liaising across Functional and Cluster PA team, PBPs, COEs and Global teams.  Implementing and communicating back to the business the outcomes of the Projects.
  • Drive the resolution of issues through informal routes, proactively addressing problem areas working collaboratively with the PBP and ER teams. 
  • Maintain a current understanding of UK and European employment law, and escalate where issues may require external legal advice 

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 


• Relevant HR experience as an HR Manager/Generalist in a fast-paced, matrixed commercial organisation
• Experience of coaching leaders and managing complex change programmes. Strong understanding of UK employment law is essential in addition to a solution focused / customer centric mind-set
• Successful implementation and project management of operational and strategic HR programs and processes across a region
• Collaborative approach with an agile mindset and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyse data to deliver insight, advanced Excel skills are preferred alongside excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to apply judgment to interact with all levels of the organisation, make sound recommendations and decisions
• Display high levels of integrity and accountability, and have a passion for creating an optimal employee experience
