HR Governance Team Lead

As our HR Governance Team Lead, you will join our Global HR Services team where we strongly believe that working hard and having fun are two compatible elements.

The focus of the role is to ensure that processes and procedures are carried out properly, ethically, and lawfully as well as to provide a visible and highly proactive HR Governance service to management and employees across the IFS Organisation.

You will be required to work closely with key stakeholders across the business including internal and external audit, risk & compliance, information security and legal teams, to ensure there is effective HR Governance, controls and compliance with current legislative, industry standards and adherence of local regulations.

This role will work on various HR Risk and Compliance projects, from initiation & set up through to business as usual activities on a day to day basis as well as maintaining the Global HR Policy framework.

The suitable candidate will demonstrate professional acumen, diligence, and initiative, as it will be crucial that the candidate proactively action tasks and liaise with relevant departments to identify needs, respond to requests and follow through on actions.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Support the further development of IFS’s Risk Management Strategy and Policy.
  • Strive to achieve companywide consistency and transparency.
  • Demonstrate a forward-thinking and commercial approach.
  • Translate future strategic demands into tangible and measurable global polices and projects and add value whilst providing clear direction and credibly communication on the future vision.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within HR Governance.
  • Effectively anticipate and respond to change.
  • Assist with RACI models that are in line with Global Policies and procedures.
  • Deliver efficient and effective ways of working with strong governance arrangements in place, while creating and promoting a culture of flexibility to respond effectively to shifts in priority.
  • Support with HR Risk Management, to embed risk management processes and use appropriate framework tools (IFS's Risk & Control framework).
  • Provide support, guidance & assistance to the Global HR team in respect of questions, logging risk events and information from the system.
  • Point of contact for all governance queries including 2nd line risk queries.
  • Support in co-ordinating 1st line Governance meetings, ensure HR team has current content for meetings and reporting out to IFS Risk, Tax & Compliance Committee.
  • Assist with the effective monitoring and reporting of key HR risk controls.
  • Supporting the HR business in compliance related issues.
  • Support as required in the running of end-to-end DSAR process & alternate country equivalents.
  • Maintain the Global Policy Framework by ensuring all existing policies undertake an annual review in order to remain up to date and compliant with both internal and external guidelines/laws.
  • Create new policies and procedures when a gap is identified.
  • Ensure the global policies and procedures are accessible via in house intranet
  • Own the HR intranet page, content, design usability, etc.
  • Support Global HR Audit cadence, co-ordinate all activities internal & external by collaborating with HR & Payroll SMEs to provide guidance and support around outcomes.
  • Support HR improvement and change projects as required.
  • Undertake any other projects/ tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the effective operation of the department and company.

Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of sound governance and effective group wide compliance with process and procedures.

  • Experience in supporting a HR team and / or working in a governance / audit-based role in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Ability to deliver improvements to governance systems and processes or similar.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member to drive excellent HR Services to the business.
  • Organised, proactive and a self-starter with the drive to deliver results
  • Capable of working to deadlines and adapting to changing conditions with the ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving through data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role, with a focus on HR data analysis.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools such as Excel and Power BI or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with statistical techniques and data mining methodologies.
  • High levels of integrity and ethical standards
  • Project & Organisational Change experience
  • Risk Management program experience
