In this role, you will work as a well-rounded HR professional helping PSI recruit talent, streamline onboarding and training for clinical research professionals, and support all personnel-related matters. You will partner with Country Management and work closely with colleagues and counterparts from other offices worldwide and quickly adjust to a growing company.
The scope of responsibilities will include:
HUMAN RESOURCES
- Manages pre-employment formalities and ensures all local requirements are met at point of employment.
- Maintains employee benefits administration and supports with employee queries resolution.
- Maintains and updates HR policies, HR files and work agreements in accordance with local rules and regulations.
- Supports Country Manager with all HR-related matters and ensures compliance of local requirements.
- Maintains staff attendance logs and verifies leaves of absence justifications.
- Assists in organizing the evaluation of staff performance (at the completion of the probation period and ongoing)
- Maintain hiring records, HR databases, staff CVs, training files, evaluation records.
- Attends and conducts exit interviews of staff leaving the company.
TRAINING
- Arrange and conduct corporate, procedural, and other training of office/regional staff.
- Coordinate training activities between company offices.
- Liaise with extradepartmental resources and external parties for organizing training.
RECRUITMENT
- Organizes and schedules interviews; conducts and reports on interviews and testing of job candidates.
- Maintains a database of applicants and interview outcomes using the applicant tracking system.
PAYROLL
- Verify salary, bonuses and benefits amounts to be payable, ensuring confidentiality of payroll information as needed.
- Cooperate with external accounting company in order to provide all necessary information for calculation of salaries, tax forms, absence reports
- College or university degree in HR or a related field
- Experience in HR activities, recruitment and training, preferably in an international company.
- Knowledge of Japanese labor law and general human resources practices is essential.
- Industry experience in Clinical Research, Pharma, or Biotech is a plus
- PC skills to be able to work with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Communication, presentation and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in international environment and build relationships at all levels
