About the role

This position is responsible for the smooth execution of people processes and the day-to-day employee experience for a designated group of employees within assigned geographies. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of duties, including employee relations, collaborating with associates and managers on engagement and retention, and other core HR processes. This role provides essential support for all business activities that enhance the employee experience at SAP Fioneer.

The position is a maternity cover for one year, with the potential for reevaluation to determine if the contract can transition into a permanent role, depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

The HR Generalist:

  • Ensures flawless execution and smooth delivery of all lifecycle tasks for the assigned workforce.
  • Supports the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll.
  • Creates necessary documents, contracts, and contractual changes, ensuring compliance with labor laws in the respective country.
  • Partners with managers on various employee relations issues.
  • Additional tasks and areas of responsibility will be defined as needed.

Supports processes for the assigned population:

  • Ensures the complete operations process is executed within required timelines.
  • Drives the onboarding process for new associates (collect and process new hire paperwork, conduct orientation sessions).
  • Manages the off-boarding process for departing associates (prepare managers, conduct exit interviews, track turnover data/metrics).
  • Processes and maintains organizational and associate updates in HRIS systems to ensure reporting structures, job titles, and cost centers are accurate and current.
  • Responds to general inquiries from employees regarding benefits, payroll, etc.
  • Participates in other special projects as needed.
  • Handles and processes confidential and time-sensitive material appropriately.
  • Ensures legal compliance, defining and proposing policies and processes that align with local laws and SAP Fioneer values and guidelines.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR Operations or Payroll
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong execution skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with general direction
  • Engaging and proactive team player
  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and maintains confidentiality
  • Willingness to learn and grow
