Job Summary
Filevine is seeking an experienced and diligent HR Generalist with top-notch analytical and communication skills to join our team. An HR Generalist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills. To ensure success, you should exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training. Reporting to Filevine’s Director of People, you will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and offboarding
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart
  • Contribute to policy development and implementation
  • Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations
  • Perform data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and conduct audits for accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits including open enrollments, mid-year changes, and training for employee benefits programs
  • Respond to human resources-related inquiries
  • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary action
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
  • Process garnishments, child support orders, and national medical support orders in compliance with legal requirements
  • Hnadle unemployment claims, including gathering necessary documentation and responding to state agencies

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
  • Strong knowledge of state and employment law, including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and EEOC regulations
  • Understanding of personnel and everything compliance records management
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • 1-3 years human resources experience
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • This is an onsite position 8:00am to 5:00pm
