This full time position is hybrid remote in Carlsbad, CA- one to two days a week in office. $70/hr 4-6 month contract
Reporting to the Vice President, P&C Business Partnering, NA, the Senior People & Culture Business Partner will partner with the business and act as a consultant to align business objectives with management and employees. You will be responsible for adding value to the business by delivering P&C support through coaching to GTM managers and employee relations.
They will partner with P&C Business Partners, People Ops and ‘Centres of Excellence’ to support operational business needs that contribute to divisional and organisational strategy.
- Support GTM Managers with advice and coaching on people and culture matters
- Lead change initiatives, including culture change and organizational transitions
- Guide people processes like performance reviews and talent assessments
- Partner with hiring managers and recruitment teams to attract and hire talent
- Assist with managing headcount and related costs alongside finance and leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and boost efficiency
- Ensure policies align with business goals and comply with legal requirements
- Analyze HR data to provide insights that inform business decisions
- Coach leaders to improve employee engagement, performance, and retention
- Contribute to cross-functional projects that support business goals
- Manage performance processes, including improvement plans and probation reviews with managers.
- Handle employee grievances, legal matters, and risk issues.
- Provide timely advice on HR policies and practices.
- Help managers review and improve current work practices for flexibility and efficiency.
- Coach managers on employment laws and managing contracts.
- Support managers with hiring, changing, or ending employment contracts.
- Oversee employee exit processes, including terminations and complex exit interviews.
- Approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset to reduce risks.
- Experience in a P&C Business Partner role for GTM
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience in a similar fast paced growth industry with highly technical leaders will be favorable
- Experience in leading complex ER issues from identification to resolution
- Experience in diagnosing and rolling out organiszational development programs targeted at improving organizational capability, performance and culture
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to successfully complete several tasks concurrently
- High levels of attention to detail
- Ability to coach and support managers from varying backgrounds
- Maintain documentation and record keeping, and meet deadlines
- Strong ability to build and manage strong working relationships across a range of stakeholders whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion
- Experience using a wide range of information technology systems and software and proven ability to learn new systems with ease
- Proactive, Energetic, self-starter
- High level of integrity, can exercise good judgment and discretion given access to highly confidential information
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
