HR COMPLIANCE ANALYST
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and administer SpaceX’s drug-free workplace program, including pre-employment, sensitive position, and random drug testing that may be required
- Manage (1) Department of Transportation compliance for SpaceX commercial drivers and (2) United States Coast Guard compliance for SpaceX mariners, including:
- Act as primary point of contact for employees throughout their entire employment lifecycle regarding compliance questions, requirements, or actions that might be necessary to adhere to our compliance program
- Ensure that all compliance-related tasks are complete and that each compliance matter is appropriately addressed directly or with partner teams and related processes for tracking purposes
- Interface with third-party consultants or third-party administrators to implement pragmatic and efficient solutions in administering compliance programs
- Update policies, processes, systems, and communication related material on a continual basis, in addition to reviewing and vetting ideas that help to enhance the overall compliance program
- Collect and organize documentation required for legal, HR, or operational teams
- Oversee SpaceX’s affirmative action program and OFCCP compliance in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders from legal, recruiting, human resources, etc.
- Assist SpaceX Legal team with employment-related compliance and related projects
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs that may be required, in addition to continuously reviewing and enhancing training material related to compliance programs or tangentially related information
- Monitor, review, and implement changes for regulatory requirement changes and / or applicable employment laws, in addition to highlighting potential risk that might be associated with potential changes
- Advise on complex employee relations issues involving compliance matters, and support the HR team in managing disciplinary actions, grievances, and disputes
- Review and present on compliance related programs to HR leadership with the ability to clearly communicate risk or required changes to ensure a best-in-class compliance program
- Create, build, and maintain compliance SharePoint site & compliance action calendar to ensure the timely completion of all required actions both internally and externally
- Maintain compliance related data, and escalate any issues or concerns; whilst ensuring data integrity is maintained at all times.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of professional experience supporting compliance for a federal contractor and/or 500+ employee company
- 1+ years of experience as the DER for a corporate entity and experience administering regulatory required drug and alcohol programs
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working for a federal contractor highly preferred, especially affirmative action OFCCP & affirmative action program compliance related initiatives
- Experience overseeing Department of Transportation- and/or Coast Guard-regulated programs
- Familiarity with domestic, international, and maritime laws and regulations
- Background in employment laws relevant to the Company’s operations
- Prior experience in an HR support role such as an HR Business Partner (or similar) with demonstrated experience navigating complex employee relations matters
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This role is onsite and must work out of the following offices: Starbase, TX or Hawthorne, CA. Remote work or hybrid work will not be considered
- Must be open to extended hours and/or weekends as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
HR Compliance Analyst/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year
HR Compliance Analyst /Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
