HR Business Partner

In this role, you’ll report to the Director of People Success and support the people managers within our Product Management, Engineering, and Product Design (PDE) function.  This role will work closely with people leaders on all organizational and people-related matters. We are looking for a strategic and empathetic partner who will act as a sounding board, thought leader, and coach to managers and employees and become a trusted advisor to the business. In partnership with the Director of People, work with the PDE Leadership team to align People strategy to business objectives, ensure the team is structured optimally, support employee development, and plan/execute strategic people initiatives. 

As part of the People Success team, you are someone who is a self-starter and a strong collaborator. Your care for the employee experience will fuel your ability to execute critical talent management tasks that contribute to a culture grounded in high performance. This role will collaborate closely with the broader People Success team to design, implement, and drive the adoption of inclusive talent programs, including performance management, employee engagement, and manager development, to deliver the greatest value to our business. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers within the Product, Engineering, and Product Design organizations to impact engagement, performance, development, and talent retention.
  • Help drive a culture of high performance through support of performance management, data analysis, and project management
  • In partnership with the broader People Success team, support the creation, launch, and execution of Talent Management initiatives, such as performance reviews, manager enablement, succession planning, and career development.
  • Utilize data to recommend, implement, and manage people projects and programs
  • Support all employees and address their needs and concerns when any issues arise
  • Manage complex employee relations,  such as harassment allegations, workplace complaints, or other employee concerns; and provide escalation support. 
  • Partner across People Ops teams within Talent Acquisition and Engagement teams to support and deploy programs throughout the organization

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience as an HRBP, preferably with experience providing support to 
  • technical teams, including engineering, product management, and product design.
  • Your communication style is clear, direct, and approachable, and your customer service orientation is strong. Your approach as an HR professional is human-first.
  • Ability to coach leaders and managers at all levels of the organization on personal and team development
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple, complex, competing priorities to completion with limited instruction
  • Experience identifying, designing, and deploying HR interventions within the business
  • You hold yourself and others to a high standard of accountability and confidentiality.
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and desire to understand the team's priorities; juggling tasks comes naturally to you.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have a proven ability to organize and analyze data.
  • Thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving, and rapidly changing environment. You can quickly make sense of it and add value.
