About the opportunity:

We are excited to partner with a rapidly growing insurance group to present a fantastic opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join their team. This role is perfect for an experienced HR professional with a background in sectors related to insurance, finance or other regulated industries, who enjoys working in a hands-on capacity.

As the HR Business Partner, You will play a key role in establishing and then managing a small HR team, working alongside an outsourced HR function and be responsible for providing strategic HR advice to line managers and senior management.

This position offers a great mix of operational and strategic responsibilities, where you will be hands-on with processes like payroll, recruitment, setting up HR frameworks and the day-to-day HR duties. You will have the chance to shape the company’s HR function while being actively involved in the implementation of processes that will support the company’s growth.

This role covers a number of offices across the UK and will involve travel on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advice and support to line managers and senior management.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Set up and implement HR processes and procedures to meet the business's evolving needs.
  • Lead and develop a small HR team, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Work closely with leadership to align HR strategy with overall business objectives.
  • Handle employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment law.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of performance management processes.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar HR Business Partner role, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector ideally work for a growing SME.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll, recruitment, and setting up HR frameworks.
  • Proven ability to provide HR advice and support to senior leadership.
  • Experience managing a small team and supporting their development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with a passion for driving HR improvements

In return we are offering:

  • Basic salary between £55,000 and £65,000 based on experience, car allowance or company car, 25 days holiday, private medical and pension
