We have a current opening for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in our Dallas, TX office.
The HR Business Partner will offer a variety of general HR support, while also serving as an extension of corporate HR to implement company policies, including compliance with state and federal regulations.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
New Hire Process
- First point of contact for general new hire related questions for TX employees
- Provide secondary audit for completion and accuracy of new hire paperwork
- Perform new hire orientation and first day onboarding activities with TX new hires when needed
- Enter new hire HR information in HRIS based on new hire offer letter
- Ensure all new hire paperwork is up to date based on state and federal requirements
- Complete new hire check in for TX employees
Benefits & Leave of Absences
- First point of contact for benefits and leave of absences related questions for TX employees and managers
- Enter new hire benefit enrollment into HRIS & benefits portal
- Provide assistance to HR Generalist with LOA, reasonable accommodations requests and non-work-related injuries.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- First point of contact for employee relation, performance review, and separation related questions for TX employees and managers
- Ability to implement and uphold policies and procedures throughout TX offices and jobsites
- Assist in conducting investigations for employee concerns and complaints providing detailed notes and recommendations for next steps to HR Manager
- Manage administration and maintenance of field and performance reviews
- Communicate with TX managers regarding separations including coaching and potential next steps
- Gather all necessary requirements for separation of TX employees
- Conduct separations and exit interviews when necessary for TX employees
MVR & DOT
- Manage MVR and DOT process from new hire to close out utilizing our consultant and Clearinghouse and driver risk management platform
- Coordinate random drug screen for DOT employees
- Communicate with managers and employees regarding monthly driving scorecard
Projects
- Manage and distribute employment and safety required postings for all TX offices and jobsites.
- Audit and maintain accurate employee data in our HRIS systems
- Create info graphs or other visual aids to assist field operations’ understanding of various HR related policies or regulations.
- Manage and communicate out project holiday schedules
- Misc. projects and reporting as needed
- Stay up to date on local, state, and federal rules and regulations
Requirements
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of progressive human resource management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred
- Experience working in construction is preferred.
- Experience working with multi-state employer preferred

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems
- Must be detail-orientated and well organized.
- Advanced skills working with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Salary Range:
- $80,000/year - $95,000/year
- This is an exempt/salaried position
