The position is based in Wangara, Perth WA.
This position reports to the Senior HR Business Partner role. - Our HR Team in Perth supports our Services team in Australia.
As our HR Business Partner - WA, you'll:
- champion a culture of inclusion and operational excellence in all aspects of our work.
- manage transactional/operational HR activities throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
- provide expert generalist HR/ER/IR advice to all stakeholders.
- case management of any performance concerns, grievances or disputes.
- complete talent acquisition & onboarding activities - including co-ordination of skilled migrant visa applications, mobilization and onboarding tasks.
- participate in managing the employee relations component of any WCC to ensure our employees are returned to the workplace with empathy and efficiency.
- actively participate in employee engagement / health and wellbeing initiatives and service recognition programs.
- support leadership to ensure cyclical goal setting and performance recognition/reviews are conducted.
- assist in the development and implementation of best practice HR strategies, policies, programs and procedures; and
- participate and contribute to a range of exciting (global and local) HR projects and initiatives.
You are passionate about people and have strong attention to detail, drive and initiative, mixed with a friendly and collaborative nature. You also enjoy being hands-on and building relationships.
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
- relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources.
- minimum 5 yrs demonstrated success within generalist HRBP role (ideally mining or construction).
- previous experience working with immigration specialists and processing visa applications for off-shore skilled migrants.
- demonstrated knowledge and correct application of multiple industrial instruments to ensure compliance and fairness to all parties.
- understanding of Safe Work WHS legislation and Codes of Practice.
- prior experience collaborating with affected employees/ Leaders/ ESH Advisors/ Medical Practitioners to ensure a safe and fair process for RTW Plans.
- excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and tailor your approach to influence positive outcomes with stakeholders.
- experience within transformation & change management initiatives.
- strategic agility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and
- a high level of computer literacy, in particular LMS/ HRIS/ ATS and TMS Suites.
