As HR Business Partner, you champion Backbase’s culture and values, and work together with our business leaders to help them build an inspiring and challenging work environment for their people. Whether you’re coaching managers on how to lead their teams, navigating and resolving employee relations issues, or managing programs that help develop our Backbase employees, you’re exceptionally focused on putting them first. You are contributing with a cross-functional group of subject matter experts to design and execute strategies for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate, retain and organize work. Partnering with the business and your HR colleagues, you are first line support for managers and employees in a broad range of HR topics.
As an HR BP dedicated to some locations/ countries, you are also the expert for HR Operations in close cooperation with your HR Operations and other global HR-BPs. You work in an all-round job with a wide range of activities, make sure all HR Operations processes run smoothly and are a first or second point of contact for HR questions from employees worldwide.
Meet the job
● For HR BPs that are involved in local HR Operations, additional tasks and responsibilities might apply, such as:
● Ensure update of relevant local documentation (e.g. templates, Confluence, employee guides);
● Lead HR Operations-related projects or improvement initiatives;
● Cooperate with an external payroll company in close cooperation with our payroll officers;
● Execute any local administrative tasks (e.g. healthcare registration, organising events, etc.)
● Conduct the new hire local on-boarding and orientation process;
● Maintain systems (HR Bamboo) by validating and entering information in the HR system;
Main responsibilities:
- Be a local steward of people strategy execution;
- Own people agenda inc. culture, engagement, talent management;
- Responsible for HR cyclical projects;
- Help create policies and programmes in line with an organization's goals and objectives;
- Coach and support managers on all employee related issues: performance management, engagement and absence management, talent development, employee relations, workforce planning;
- Coach employees on organizational and interpersonal communications. Respond to employee interpersonal concerns / work issues that impede team members ability to work together;
- Collaborate with managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues; investigate and guide, prepare/help corrective actions. Facilitate conflict resolution meetings;
- Deliver customized human resource solutions for organizational challenges, aligned with the global HR policies;
- Interpret and support in executing HR policies and procedures for effectiveness, consistency, compliance and efficiency. Conduit of all HR information - updates, initiatives, results, etc provided in standup or communicated directly;
- Oversee performance management / salary review cycle. Support performance improvement discussions;
- Collaborate and align with HR experts on several conditions and monitor the quality of the HR/payroll processes;
- Monitor employee relations in analyzing actual trends, issues and problems and assist local management addressing these issues;
- Deliver training - based on the training material which you will receive from the HR Team - and facilitate various training/workshops/meetings. Confer within the HR team to determine training and development needs and assist in development of long-range programs accordingly;
- Liaise with the CHRO and Senior HRBP on complex and/or strategic HR issues/topics. Provide necessary information for strategy/decision making;
- Conduct regular meetings with the various business departments, build, and develop trusted relationships with the various departmental leaderships;
How about you
- Bachelor’s Degree with a specialization in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline;
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or generalist supporting senior leaders at global companies;
- 1+ years of experience in delivering trainings and/or facilitating workshops with an engaging presentation and interaction style;
- 3+ years of experience in HR Operations for HR BPs in BDCs or hubs;
- Fluency in local language and English, written and verbal;
- Knowledge of legislation and institutions;
- Demonstrated professional maturity and ability to protect confidential information;
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of business lines and products/services;
