Job Overview

Wargaming is looking for a HR Business Partner to join APAC HR team to work with business groups in Asia Pacific. This is a team of passionate individuals who support each other closely, always stay communicative, crave for high performance, and want to succeed as a team.

As HRBP to Wargaming businesses in APAC, you will build professional trust with your client groups via developing a solid understanding of their business goals, proactively assessing team, manager, and organizational needs, initiating a discussion, providing feedback, and making recommendations if support of business needs whenever needed.

This role will suit you if you have 1) experience in HR for 5 – 7 years, as HR Business Partner or have been involved in strategic discussion and performed various responsibilities across HR spectrum to meet business needs; 2) intellectual curiosity, deep caring for business and its workforce, and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.

The HR Business Partner will report to HR Director, APAC

What will you do

Work with Business Leaders and Managers

  • Support leaders by translating their business plans and goals into the human resource capabilities needed.

  • Proactively identify areas where HR can add value and recommend appropriate actions by “thinking business” in every HR issue.

  • Drive people management excellence using communications, coaching, and organizational design.

  • Partner closely with managers through people processes including workforce planning, talent review, performance cycle, employee development opportunities discussion, and engagement survey action planning, coordinating the process and providing HR expertise.

  • Provide management team with your insights based on various types of reporting and data analysis, and recommendations including compensation, job levels, attrition, team culture and others as needed.

  • Address employee relations issues effectively and pragmatically, assessing the risk and commercial implications of employee related business decisions.

  • Support managers in performance management initiatives and restructuring where necessary.

Work with HR Group

  • Work closely with global counterpart(s) and adapt global HR strategy and processes regionally wherever possible.

  • Work closely with regional and global partners in HR, Finance and Legal to implement people solutions and programs for businesses.

  • Partner with COEs, ensuring deepest understanding of businesses’ goals and talent needs.

  • Partner with country HR Manager and direct manager to deliver or participate in new hire induction programs and/or other ad hoc coaching and training, ensuring that employees have the information, resources, and support for work.

  • Work with APAC and global HR team on HR projects.

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a HR Business Partner

  • Comprehensive understating of some main HR streams such as development, performance, assessment, motivation, engagement, and retention

  • Native in Chinese 
  • Experience working in an MNC / matrixed organization

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skill to diverse audience

  • Ability to quickly learn and deliver in ambiguity and complexity

  • Strong team player and able to co-ordinate efforts within a team or amongst several teams

  • Ability to look at a situation from different viewpoints

  • Willingness to share your opinion, even if it differs from the opinions of others

  • Being problem-solving and action-oriented

  • Being self-driven, keen learner and resourceful

  • Adherence to ethics, integrity, trust, and compassion

 What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Habit to self-reflect, desire to continuously learn and gain insights from mistake, proactively feedback

  • Experience in technology, online-games or entertainment industry will be an advantage

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in any field preferred

  • Certificates in Human Resources preferred

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data to identify insights and drive actions

  • Cross-cultural competence
