Galvanize Climate Solutions is hiring a

HR Associate

San Francisco, United States

About Galvanize Climate Solutions

Galvanize Climate Solutions (“Galvanize”) is a climate-focused global investment firm delivering capital and expertise to accelerate climate solutions. Founded by Katie Hall and Tom Steyer, Galvanize invests across asset classes including venture capital and growth equity, public equities, and real estate. We integrate expertise across investment, climate impact, measurement, market development, talent, technology, and policy with the aim of driving material climate impact and creating long-term value for our investors.

Role

Galvanize’s HR team is entrusted with the responsibility to attract, retain, and reward the world class talent without whom our mission could not be achieved. We take particular pride in embodying our cultural values of “Bold Action Paired With Uncompromising Excellence” and “Respect For All” (although of course we do our best to role model all five of our cultural values, day in and day out!) As our ~60 person organization grows increasingly complex in terms of the number of funds and office locations supported, we need a proven, hands-on Associate who enjoys HR Operations focused work and building and iterating upon solutions for core HR needs such as benefits, payroll and employee engagement.

This opportunity will appeal to those who thrive in dynamic, growth-oriented, fast-paced environments, who want to apply their professional experiences and skills to addressing the climate crisis, and who enjoy learning new things (including building new relationships) quickly. As Galvanize continues to grow in organizational scale and complexity, there will be increased demands placed on the HR function and therefore expected growth in this seat.

The Associate will report to the Head of HR. You will be expected to often act independently and with minimal supervision, but know that you have a highly experienced platform operations team across Legal and Compliance, Finance, IT, and Administrative Services to support and collaborate with you. This position is based in our San Francisco (Financial District) office but may involve some travel to New York and other locations. The Associate is expected to be in the office Monday through Thursday, but there will be a high degree of flexibility within that schedule as well as a need to function across multiple time zones.
