Main responsibilities:
- Management of a section with 4 teams of expert engineers (around 20, plus other 10 staff)
- Responsible for the whole business execution and development in the field of truck, tractor, trailer homologation including active and passive safety matters, as well as environmental issues, alternative propulsions, electric vehicles or H2.
- Management of Homologation projects within a team of homologation engineers: Budgets, quotations, plannings, execution and control.
- Supervision, preparation and execution of the tests, both in the proving ground (dynamic tests) as well as in laboratories (emission tests)
- Technical discussions with manufacturers and authorities
- Responsible of the people development, trainings and qualifications.
- Relation with Ministries and accreditation agencies, presence in commercial shows and technical conferences or congresses
- Supervision of quality standards in the projects.
- Participation and leadership in European R+D innovation projects
Profile:
- Mininum of 10 years of Homologation experience in the automotive field, and at least 5 years as a team leader.
- Experience in people teams management, engineering project management in international environment
- Knowledge and experience in project management (resources, timings, budgets, planning, calendars, management of deviations, ...)
- Knowledge of automotive technologies, in particular new disruptive ones. Active or passive safety, environmental issues, alternative propulsions, electric or hydrogen
- Experience in activities related to European institutions and projects.(EU R+D projects)
- Experience in regulations, standards or quality control.
- Desirable knowledge of regulations and approval processes.
- Able and used to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Able to travel abroad frequently.
- Able to work in challenging environments and used to fulfill programs, calendars and budgets
Education:
- MSc Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Aeronautics engineering or similar.
- Other specialities possible depending on the proven skills and experience.
Languages:
- High level of English is a must.
