Homologation Manager Japan

Promote and develop a sustainable and growing homologation business with Japanese automotive companies and provide homologation services in Japan, either to Japanese companies for export countries or to non Japanese automotive companies willing to get their approvals for Japan.

Ensure a deep understanding about the whole Japanese Homologation procedure and its key  stakeholders (Ministry of Land and Transport, NTSEL, ..).

Keep and further develop the relationship with the key stakeholders for the Japanese homologation procedure

Lead and manage the Homologation team in Japan.

Manage all the resources to carry out contracted projects during the project's life cycle. Coordinate and influence collaborators from different Departments to ensure the accomplishment of the established Project objectives in terms of timing, pricing and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and promote IDIADA’s Homologation business in Japan by targeting clients, identifying their homologation needs, preparing and presenting quotes to clients and closing the terms and conditions by getting the purchasing orders.
  • Setting up the Homologation team to provide the homologation services in Japan.
  • Undertake homologation programs taking advantage of the network of automotive testing capabilities in Japan.
  • Carry out meetings and sales presentations to present the technical solution-offers to Clients.
  • Follow up any homologation process of our clients.

Create a network of contacts with the Homologation Stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in EC/ECE Regulation.
  • Having executed (or being familiar) with Japanese Certification programs.
  • Good contacts with the Homologation Managers of the Japanese automotive companies.
  • Good knowledge and relationship with main Japanese homologation stakeholders (Ministry of Land and Transpor, NTSEL).
  • Strong customer and service orientation, with high level of initiative and proactive approach.
  • Good communication skills (able to teach clients about technical requirements).
  • Confident, with the ability to convince through technical arguments.
  • Able to work in an entrepreneurial, dynamic and international environment.
  • Willingness to travel if required.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Engineering Degree, preferably on an Automotive specialization.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • English is a must.
  • Proficiency level in Japanese
