Heavy PDR Technician / PDR Trainer

As a Heavy PDR Tech / PDR Trainer, you will have the opportunity to work at our inspection centers as a PDR expert; responsible for conducting and inspecting the heaviest paintless dent repair during our reconditioning process and teaching others PDR techniques. The qualifying candidate must love helping people and possess the drive to achieve superior customer satisfaction. They must be goal-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, and able to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspect the vehicle for dent repairs as needed.
  • Perform heavy Paintless Dent Repair services on vehicles for dents up to basketball size, mostly hail repair. 
  • Reskin body panels.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the Cosmetic department and help train others on PDR techniques.
  • Concisely and collaboratively communicate with the Cosmetic team if additional work on a vehicle is needed.
  • Communicates effectively across zones/departments to support production and assists in issue resolution.
  • Follow proper operating rules, procedures, and standardized work initiatives as assigned.
  • Work on a variety of vehicle tasks for extended periods.
  • Partner and communicate clearly with other team members and departments involved in the vehicle reconditioning process.
  • Maintain a clean and productive work environment by keeping tools and supplies organized throughout the Cosmetic department.
  • Report any safety issues or accidents to management immediately.
  • Travel to inspection centers with high need to repair vehicles and train teammates
  • Other duties as assigned. 

What the job requires:

This position requires at least 5-7 years of paintless dent repair experience. It requires someone who has an expert level understanding of paintless dent repair while having an interest in continuing their career in PDR. Requirements include: 

  • Minimum 5-7 years of paintless dent repair experience
  • Minimum of at least five years of preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

General qualifications and requirements

  • Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Some positions may be subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
  • Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
