ABOUT THE ROLE

In Healthcare Operations and Programming, you will play an integral role in the design process, partnering alongside architects, clinicians, strategists, and designers to transform client visions to reality through a design-centric approach. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to solve critical problems by utilizing their unique skillsets in strategic facilities master planning, functional/space programming, as well as knowledge of Lean/operations improvement

 
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Lead clinical consulting services, driving the programming, planning and design of healthcare facilities
  • Develop meaningful, long-term relationships with clients and internal partners through excellence, integrity, and reliability
  • Participate in new business development, pursuits and proposal development
  • Provide industry-leading subject matter expertise and guidance to clients and design teams  working to develop visions for the future of healthcare and health-related facilities
  • Lead and facilitate visioning sessions, user groups, client work sessions and research activities to develop vision statements, journey maps, ideal patient and family experience, improvement in workflow and optimization of investment in capital project, in addition to ability to diagnose root challenges and distill data into meaningful insights
  • Communicate healthcare expertise and planning concepts to clients and project teams, both verbally and through graphic and written reports, in small group and large group settings, as well in conversations with healthcare executives
  • Lead the healthcare planning and programming process within the design team to create functional and space programs, along with department floor plan concepts reflective of operations.
  • Direct and develop program and service volume projections that take into consideration market assessments
  • Create baseline and future inpatient and ambulatory clinical service plans that inform related program design concepts to inform Master Programming and Master Planning in line with future facility goals
  • Manage the deliverables for the healthcare planning team within the greater project deliverable schedule.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with financial and operational modeling, capital planning models, healthcare staffing and workforce and workplace models
  • Produce project documentation, research briefs, meeting materials, analysis, graphics, best practice presentations, benchmark info and interim and final deliverables
  • Create and manage work plans including project staffing, project approach, fee optimization, and resource requests to be reviewed with managers
  • Lead components of a work plan, sometimes independently, to meet expectations and schedules of complex healthcare clients
  • Manage consulting teams, reviewing project performance, tracking project budget, and creation of deliverables
  • Promote thought leadership, identify, contribute to, and assess new tools and processes to improve service delivery
  • Mentor staff for depth and support of the specialized knowledge execution process
  • Achieve sales and utilization targets commensurate with your role and level within the firm
  • Extensive travel is required
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience working within the healthcare-built environment for at least 7 years is required. Experience with management consulting strongly preferred
  • Experience with organizing and conducting clinical end-user meetings is necessary
  • Knowledge of FGI Guidelines
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in PowerPoint, create detailed workflows in Visio, and quantitative strengths in the creation of detailed analytical models using Excel and various tool is a must
  • Experience and wizardry in visualization of data using Tableau, PowerBi, or similar tools preferred
  • Production of thought leadership papers, presentations, blogs, case studies, and presence at national conferences/meetings are a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
 
The salary range for this position is $91,000 to $115,500 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time summer hours, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs.
