Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environment Officer (HSE) to join our team in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards across our construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Investigate incidents/accidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans.
- Monitor and report environmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Conduct environmental audits and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE incidents, inspections, and training.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders (regulatory agencies, contractors, etc.).
Requirements
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven 5 years of professional and project experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in industrial settings with a focus on HSE work.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- NEBOSH or OSHA certification (or equivalent).
- Other relevant HSE certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
- License of professional HSE practitioner.
