Marsden Vet – Head Nurse Position

We have a brand new opportunity for a confident and passionate senior nurse to join our team for a mix of nursing and leadership duties. We are particularly interested in candidates who are experienced in surgery, enjoy helping others to become their best and advocate patient outcomes.

 

About The Clinic

 

We are a small animal practice located in the suburb of Marsden, recently renovated showcasing a sparking new purpose-built clinicWe are a popular three vet per day practice supported by a fun and friendly nursing team, serving our loyal community of clients. 

Marsden Vet Surgery has become an icon of gold standard veterinary care in the Logan area.  The team pride themselves on pet wellness and genuine client relationships while all sharing their passion to provide comprehensive and compassionate veterinary services.

About The Role

 

Work closely with our lovely Practice Manager and Lead Vet to expand on our positive culture, clinic goals and outstanding customer care.

 

  • Full Time – 38 hours per week 
  • 4 Days 8am to 6pm, with one Saturday 8-1pm every 5-6 weeks
  • Lead on nurse development, suppliers, stock control and improving workflow
  • Access to free Veterinary Training Centre workshops and online courses
  • Paid QLD radiology licence, uniforms and allowances
  • Above award rate with annual pay reviews!

 

About You

 

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, with min 3 years since graduating
  • Genuine passion and care for the industry and our patients
  • Strong team and work ethic, good listening skills and time management
  • Experience with EzyVet desirable but not essential
  • Possess strong problem solving, decision making and organisational skills
  • A genuine, warm and collaborative style that values a happy workplace
