About You and What You'll Bring

You are an experienced Workplace Relations professional with a knack for working with stakeholders to develop and deliver solutions. You are able to work collaboratively and independently to build relationships within the HR team and broader business. Key skills we're looking for:

  • Deep specialist knowledge in employee and industrial relations, with a capability to apply this knowledge with a pragmatic, collaborative and commercial focus
  • Extensive understanding of the Fair Work Australia requirements and industrial instruments, including industrial relations design and bargaining experience with multi-sector unions
  • Deep knowledge of current Australian workplace relations 
  • Happy to roll up your sleeves and deliver proactive operational solutions, alongside a the ability to think strategically and conceptually
  • Great at fostering relationships with senior leaders and influencing a complex stakeholder environment
  • Design and multichannel delivery experience of Workplace Relations training for HR and workforce.

Your New Role

An important aspect of the position is the requirement to balance supporting reactive operational issues vs the design and development of solutions that will lift capability, mitigate risk and enable productivity. We'd also see you owning:

  • Relationship development and navigation of Unions, unionised workgroups and multiple enterprise agreements
  • Employment and industrial relations changes or developments in relevant legislation, regulations and standards to make informed recommendations to Leidos and/or Enterprise Agreements
  • Design and delivery of workplace relations strategy, frameworks, policies, processes, reporting and education
  • Training and development of HR Business Partners with Workplace Relations knowledge, complaint handling, mediation and investigation skills
  • Reporting to executive team and key stakeholders, presenting as required
  • Industrial Relations leadership and operational support for delivery and maintenance of Enterprise Bargaining agreements. 

While also managing the global requirements of our US based head office with local legislative, industrial and customer requirements.
