Head of Website Marketing

Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week.

Position Overview:

As the Head of Website Marketing at BambooHR, you will own and orchestrate the success of our marketing website, Bamboohr.com. You will develop and execute a well-defined marketing strategy that effectively informs, engages, and converts our target audiences. This strategy will involve compelling storytelling, value communication, and presenting our brand in the best possible light. You’ll be a good mix of confidence and humility to drive our business forward. You also have a knack for numbers and growth and are excited to dive in and be accountable for growing and reporting on our non-paid acquisition engine.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead a team to deliver digital excellence and shape the future of our online presence across storytelling, user experience, and conversion rate optimization. 
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy for the website that aligns with company goals and marketing objectives, partnering with our dedicated website development team.
    • Own optimization strategies to drive improvements to website audiences, workflows, web technologies and conversion metrics, and identify bottlenecks and impediments to prospect success.
    • Align new content to the website's information architecture and customer journey.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with the broader marketing, dev and brand teams to align website initiatives with company goals.
    • Collaborate with product marketing (PMM), Demand Generation, and other marketing leaders and team to understand our target audience, personas, and the stories we want to convey through the website.
    • Work closely with SEO and analytics to ensure alignment and integration of strategies.
  • Data-driven insights - Use data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
    • Understand website capabilities and processes, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, and promote and increase adoption of website capabilities.
    • Partner with our analytics team to monitor and analyze website performance metrics such as traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and downstream pipeline metrics and provide actionable insights and strategies for improvement.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in digital marketing, and proactively identify innovative strategies to enhance the website's performance and user experience.
  • Audience Expansion - Help BambooHR scale across audiences and countries
    • Oversee the strategy to scale international website expansion into new markets, languages, and regions
    • Build and execute plans to introduce self serve options to our customers and prospects partnered with product and development
  • Team Leadership - Manage, mentor, and advise the team to grow their skills and knowledge.
    • Look to build scalable processes that allow the team to execute and make quick decisions based on imperfect data
    • Identify long term organization design, determining where we should leverage agencies vs building the team in-house

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing with a significant portion in leadership roles, preferably with a focus on website management.
  • Deep understanding of web systems and modern marketing technologies (prefer Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target) 
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, and email marketing.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms and tools, such as Marketo or Salesforce and how they interact with web systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset, with a track record of driving measurable business outcomes through digital marketing efforts.
