We are currently looking for a Head of Teaching (all genders) based in Berlin, or working remotely within the EU/UK with regular visits to Berlin.
Your mission with us:
Human First teaching is the core of Lingoda’s Product Vision.
Supported by a fully integrated learning experience, AI-enabled personalization and dynamic interactive tools, as Head of Teaching you will play an essential role in hiring, developing and making Lingoda’s teachers the key part of our learners' success to achieve their learning objectives.
Reporting to the VP Learning, you will be responsible for all teacher resourcing across our B2C & B2B business verticals.
Your tasks:
You bring to Lingoda:
- Strong educational experience, preferably leading an online or offline language learning school
- Strong experience in successfully managing teachers to deliver demonstrable quality at scale, including teacher recruitment, training, retention, observation, scheduling, and continuous improvement
- Analytical mindset and forecasting skills to work with the data team in managing teacher resources and preventing shortages
- Strong leadership & management skills that motivate teams and win respect
- An entrepreneurial mindset, capable of making things happen and making decisions within a strategic framework working towards agreed OKRs/ KPIs
- A hands-on approach with attention to detail
- Confident and decisive, supporting decisions and gaining support with insight and analyses
- Basic understanding of labour law in regards to teacher workforce
- Experienced C2 level in German; fluency in English
