In this new role Head of Sustainability, you will report directly to the CEO of the Umdasch Group and you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing the group sustainability strategy and transformation through collaboration with senior leadership and the responsible sustainability managers within the divisions
- Drafting and implementing suitable organizational policies and procedures relating to sustainability including relevant short-, mid- and long-term measurements
- Drafting and preparing reports, presentations and proposals for the Management Board and other internal key stakeholders
- Reporting and communicating on sustainability performance for external stakeholders as required
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable sustainability related laws and regulations in close collaboration with all divisions of the group
- Owning and initiating various projects under the sustainability program
- Achieving and maintaining appropriate sustainability certifications on a group level
- Ongoing monitoring and interpretation of regulatory developments
- Acting as a subject matter expert and sparring partner for deriving ESG related business requirements, risks & opportunities within the group
- Functional leadership for the sustainability managers within the group as well as all involved and relevant topic owners
- University degree with specialization in economics, environment and or sustainability
- Experience in developing ESG processes and policies including implementation on a corporate level
- Knowledge of current and upcoming regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in working across multiple countries and regional levels
- Proven ability to act as an advisor to Senior Management on the full spectrum of ESG issues
- Languages: Fluent English is a must, German skills are a plus

A salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience.
We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position in Austria is 57.640,00. EUR according to the collective agreement (woodworking industry).
