Position Overview:
As the Head of Social Media and Growth at Sovrun, you will be responsible for crafting and executing social media strategies that drive engagement, grow our community, and position Sovrun as a leader in the Autonomous Worlds and Web3 space. You will also work closely with the marketing team to manage content creation, campaigns, and brand messaging across multiple platforms. This role requires a creative thinker who is passionate about blockchain gaming, Web3, and digital marketing. You will work closely with our team and other verticals and have the opportunity to be responsible for the growth of one of the most exciting startups in the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Sovrun’s marketing goals.
- Manage and grow Sovrun’s presence on Twitter, Discord, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Drive engagement and build relationships with the Web3 and Autonomous Worlds communities.
- Track and report on key social media metrics, including engagement, follower growth, and content performance.
- Identify and create strategy for expansion into new channels relevant for Sovrun.
- Content Creation & Curation:
- Collaborate with the content team to produce high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, graphics, and videos.
- Create original social media content (posts, infographics, short videos) to highlight Sovrun’s key offerings and community updates.
- Ensure brand consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all platforms.
- Stay updated on trends in blockchain gaming and Web3 to create timely, relevant content.
- Campaign Management:
- Plan and execute social media campaigns to support product launches, community events, and key milestones.
- Coordinate cross-promotional efforts with partners, influencers, and thought leaders in the Web3 space.
- Develop a monthly content calendar that includes social media posts, blog promotions, and email campaigns.
- Community Engagement:
- Actively engage with Sovrun’s community on social platforms (Twitter, Discord, etc.), responding to inquiries, fostering discussions, and encouraging participation in events.
- Plan and manage interactive campaigns (e.g., AMAs, giveaways, competitions) to increase community involvement.
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing to align community-building efforts with Sovrun’s broader marketing goals.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using tools like Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics, and third-party platforms.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on campaign performance, community growth, and engagement metrics.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend optimizations and improvements for future campaigns.
- PR & Crisis Management:
- Develop and implement PR strategies to promote Sovrun’s brand and ensure positive media coverage.
- Manage relationships with media outlets, influencers, and public figures relevant to the Web3 and gaming industries.
- Create and maintain crisis communication plans, ensuring quick and effective responses to potential PR issues or negative media coverage.
- Monitor online sentiment and address potential reputational risks promptly.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned messaging during any crisis or sensitive situations.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or community management, preferably in Web3, gaming, or blockchain, but not required.
- Proven track record of building and engaging communities on platforms like Twitter, Discord, and LinkedIn (optional).
- Experience in managing content calendars, social media campaigns, and performance reporting.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of blockchain technology, gaming, and Web3 communities is a plus.
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to create engaging and relevant content.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms is a plus.
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus, but not required!
