The Head of Business Development (Project Acquisitions & Joint Ventures) is responsible for driving the strategic growth of the company by ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality real estate inventory through partnerships with developers and landowners. This role focuses on maintaining a strong pipeline of business opportunities, executing thorough due diligence, and building robust joint ventures to support the company’s Sales & Marketing services. The position demands strategic leadership, complex financial analysis, and the ability to negotiate win-win deals, while also fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve revenue targets and enhance the company’s market positioning.

In this role, you will:

Focus on Strategic Business Development: 

    • Lead the Business Development efforts to secure a consistent supply of real estate inventory from other developers for Sales & Marketing services. 
    • Ensure that the acquired inventory meets the planned revenue targets and aligns with the company’s overall strategic objectives. 
    • Maintain a robust pipeline of business development opportunities to ensure a steady inflow of inventory, supporting revenue growth.

Be responsible for Due Diligence & Risk Management: 

    • Implement comprehensive due diligence procedures for inventory acquisition, mitigating potential risks at the time of sale to end buyers.
    • Oversee all legal aspects of business agreements, ensuring that contracts are meticulously drafted and executed to avoid any legal issues.

Work on Market Positioning & Brand Strategy:

    • Strategically position the company in the market as a trusted provider of Real Estate Sales & Marketing services.
    • Establish the company’s reputation as a reliable partner for developers, fostering trust and long-term relationships.

Joint Ventures & New Business Opportunities:

    • Identify and pursue new Joint Venture opportunities with individual landowners and corporate entities.
    • Showcase the company’s strengths and capabilities to potential partners, creating compelling value propositions for collaborative ventures.

Be responsible for Financial Modeling & Feasibility Analysis:

    • Develop and manage complex financial models, including take rate calculations, NPV, IRR, financial forecasting, feasibility studies, and cash flow projections.
    • Present financial analyses and business models to senior management, providing clear insights into market outlook, execution plans, and potential risks and opportunities.

Lead and develop teams:

    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Business Development team with strong skills in project acquisitions and joint ventures.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the team remains proactive, deal-focused, and equipped with top-tier negotiation and analytical skills.

Manage Internal and External Stakeholders:

    • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the Finance, Legal, and Sales teams, to address operational, financial, and administrative issues effectively.
    • Align Business Development strategies with the B2C Sales team, ensuring seamless integration and mutual goal achievement.
    • Cultivate relationships with CEOs and owners of partnering companies, maintaining strong rapport and open lines of communication.
    • Proactively engage with external stakeholders to understand their needs, resolve challenges, and explore future collaboration opportunities.

Lead Business Negotiation & Opportunity Carving:

    • Lead high-stakes negotiations with a focus on creating mutually beneficial outcomes, while safeguarding the company’s interests.
    • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, demonstrating strong business acumen and strategic thinking.

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership Skills: Act as a leader, inspiring and guiding the team rather than merely managing.
  • Proactive Approach: Anticipate challenges and address issues before they escalate.
  • Attention to Detail: Thoroughly monitor all aspects of business development and address potential risks pre-emptively.
  • Strong Deal-Making Abilities: Skilled in negotiations, with a track record of successful deal closures.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate strong financial and strategic insight, driving revenue and growth.
  • Results-Driven: A go-getter mentality with the ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Graduate in architecture, business, finance and/or economics, MBA would be an advantage
  • 12+ years of progressive professional experiecne with minimum 3 years in real estate in KSA
  • Familiarity with the KSA real estate business and industry
