About The Role

The Head of Product - Direct Hirer is responsible for managing, defining, building and delivering products that transform our business model for hirers.

As owner of a high profile strategic product portfolio, the role has responsibility for products, services and new initiatives of high strategic importance, dedicated to solving important problems for SEEK and hirers.

This role will also be responsible for the leadership of a highly capable team of product experts.

• Proven Product Leadership: You’ve got experience in product management, ideally in B2B, B2C, online marketplaces or ecommerce. You’ve led multi-functional teams and have a deep understanding of how to guide products through every stage of the lifecycle—from discovery to development to optimization.
• Solid Business Sense: You can connect the dots between customer needs, product vision, and commercial outcomes. You understand how to build products that are not only user-friendly but also drive measurable business success.
• Expert in Agile Methodologies: You thrive in fast-paced, agile environments. You’re skilled in applying agile principles to lead teams in iterative product development and delivery, while balancing short-term wins with long-term strategy.
• Customer-Centric Approach: You're passionate about understanding and solving customer problems. You use both quantitative data and qualitative insights to drive decision-making, ensuring the product meets both market demands and customer expectations.
• Technologically Savvy: You have a strong grasp of emerging technologies, particularly AI, and how they can be harnessed to create smarter, more personalized user experiences. You understand the tech landscape and can collaborate effectively with engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Strong Leadership & Coaching Skills: You have a track record of mentoring and developing product managers. You’re skilled at creating high-performing teams and providing clear direction, feedback, and growth opportunities to your direct reports.
• Strategic Problem solver with a Hands-On Approach: While you can envision the big picture, you’re equally comfortable diving into the details. You can prioritize effectively, manage competing partner needs, and make informed decisions that propel the business forward.
• Excellent Communication & Influence: You're a confident communicator who can articulate sophisticated ideas to diverse partners. Whether it's collaborating with other teams or influencing senior leadership, you have the interpersonal skills to gain support and create momentum behind your vision.
