Position Overview
The Director of People Operations is responsible for leading and managing the human
resources operations function to ensure efficient and effective HR service delivery. This includes
overseeing systems, benefits, compensation, compliance, and employee services. The Director
will play a key role in developing, streamlining and implementing HR policies and procedures
that align with organizational goals, legal requirements, as well as driving continuous HR
process improvement while fostering a positive employee experience.

What You’ll Do: 
People Operations Leadership:
● Lead and manage the People operations team, ensuring high performance,
professional development, and effective service delivery.
● Develop and implement HR operational strategies and initiatives that support
business objectives and enhance employee experience and engagement.

HR Systems and Technology:
● Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of HR Information
Systems (HRIS) and other HR technologies.
● Ensure accurate data management and reporting, leveraging technology to
improve HR processes and decision-making.

 Compensation and Benefits:
● Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, communication, and
management of employee benefits programs.
● Advise on benefits strategy to ensure competitiveness and alignment with
industry standards.
● Oversee compensation administration, including communication, management
of compensation frameworks, pay equity equity audits in close partnership with
finance and People Strategy.

Compliance and Risk Management:
● Ensure HR policies and practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

● Develop and implement risk management strategies related to employment
practices, ensuring proper documentation and processes are in place.

 HR Services:
● Manage employee services functions, including onboarding, offboarding, leaves
of absence, employee records management, and HR service delivery.
● Drive continuous improvement in HR service quality, responsiveness, and
employee satisfaction.

 Process Improvement:
● Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and
effectiveness of the People Operations function.
● Develop and monitor critical HR metrics and performance indicators to track
progress and identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration and Communication:
● Partner with other HR & Cross-functional leaders and departments to ensure
alignment and integration of HR strategies and initiatives.
● Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure understanding
and compliance with HR policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need:
● Education: A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration. Master’s
degree is preferred.
● Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2-3 years
in a leadership role within HR operations. Startup experience building and scaling fast
paced companies is preferred.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in administration and implementation of HRIS & other HR-
focused platforms (e.g., Paylocity, Workday, Lattice) and advanced knowledge of
compensation and benefits strategy and administration.
● Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HR principles, practices, procedures, and legal
requirements. Strong knowledge of HR technology and data management. Strong
understanding of Total Rewards.
● Leadership: Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team.
● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to
effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
● Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage
data to drive decision-making.
● Project Management: Experience managing HR projects and initiatives, with strong
organizational and project management skills.
● Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and
work/collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Compensation Range
$190,000$220,000 USD
