Head of People, Director Level

We are looking for a Head of People to partner with our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Executive Team and take ownership of Wildlife's People function. The Head of People has a pivotal role in that journey. They will own Recruiting, Talent Development, HR Business Partnership, Total Rewards, Payroll, and HR Operations. In addition to that, the Head of People will help us reinforce a culture of results and accountability. The Head of People at Wildlife sits in the driving seat, designing, implementing, and running the strategy, programs, and initiatives that will help Wildlife strengthen its leading position in the tech talent market in Brazil.

What you'll do

  • Leadership:
    Shape Wildlife's talent strategy
    Coach and develop senior leaders on people related topics
    Build and develop a high-performance people team
    Develop new leaders and successors for own organization
  • Talent Acquisition:
    Develop and implement a robust talent acquisition strategy to attract top talent from the best universities and industry leaders
    Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless candidate experience
    Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and ensure timely and effective hiring
  • HR Business Partnership (HRBPs):
    Lead and manage the HRBP team to provide strategic support to all departments
    Ensure HRBPs are effectively supporting leaders in their roles, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and development
  • Total Rewards:
    Design and oversee a competitive total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs
    Ensure our rewards strategy is aligned with company goals and market trends
  • Talent Management:
    Develop and implement talent management programs to ensure we have the right people in the right roles
    Lead initiatives for employee development, succession planning, and leadership development
    Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth
  • Management Practices and Accountability:
    Disseminate and promote good management practices across the organization
    Ensure accountability for performance and development through robust performance management systems

What you'll need

  • Experience and Education:
    Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in HR
    Proven experience in HR disciplines, talent acquisition, talent management, and total rewards
    Experience in tech and startups is a plus
  • Skills:
    Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business goals into HR strategies
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
    Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions and measure success
    Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring HR professionals
