Convelio is hiring a

Head of People

Paris, France
Full-Time
🎨 Who Are We?

Convelio is a licensed freight forwarding startup evolving at the intersection of Tech, Logistics and the Art World. The startup specialises in the global shipping of high-end goods: paintings, sculptures, basically any valuable or bulky merchandise.

We've developed our own proprietary algorithm to offer competitive real-time shipping quotes and an end-to-end logistics service to the art market. Our mission is to become a tech-driven company in a traditional industry, and therefore make the shipping of bulky and valuable items as easy as possible by providing an online and seamless experience.

We currently serve a wide range of customers from art galleries, antique dealers, auction houses, online platforms to interior designers.

With 130+ colleagues scattered across Paris & London and now New York as well, Convelio has a strong start-up & international culture. We thrive in solving complex logistics issues for our clients, enabling both sellers and buyers in the art market. We are backed by proven technology, prominent VC’s, and boast a global network and the resources (€30 million Series B funding in March 2022) to seize the market opportunity

We are seeking a highly-skilled and dynamic Head of People with outstanding people skills to direct and oversee all People topics across our 3 countries!

Today is a crucial moment and a unique opportunity to join Convelio. The company has grown a lot throughout the past 6 years, with its (although exciting!) startup growth ‘pains’ associated with it. We are more than 130+ team members across France, the UK and the US. While our teams have grown a lot and also built a solid foundation for more and more structure along the way, we are now steering the company to a progressive achievement of profitability, with a clear plan defined with the whole team over the next years. Though we continue to grow organically, we’re also working on external growth, where our People team gets to handle different challenges such as successfully planning and executing teams integration. This position as Head of People will play a very important role in scaling the company and bringing it to our next chapter.

Finally, Convelio aims at creating a supportive workplace and positive employee experience for our team-members, allowing them to grow:
- We are looking for someone who believes and recognises themselves in our company values and is eager to promote them across the entire team and offices: we want you to play a key part in upholding our company culture throughout diverse initiatives and creating an environment for everyone to thrive in.
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is important to us. We are passionate about building an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated and leveraged: you’ll be responsible for implementing initiatives and thought-processes that support such a work culture.
- We are a remote-friendly company, all while valuing regular physical interactions at our offices: our team members work across our 3 countries, from our company offices in Paris, London and New York or from home. Your role will be to promote our remote working culture while ensuring our people spend enough time together to collaborate and get to know each other.
