Insight Timer is hiring a

Head of Organic Growth

Sydney, Australia
Full-Time

Insight Timer is a community of 30 million people from 120 countries speaking over 50 languages. More time is spent on Insight Timer than all other meditation apps combined. We publish the largest free library of wellbeing content on earth with over 250,000 guided meditations and music tracks from 20,000 teachers and contributors. This is an opportunity to become an integral part of our purpose driven team that aims to improve the mental wellbeing of millions.

About the Role

10,000 people sign up to Insight Timer every 24 hours. We have attempted various initiatives over the last ten years to grow beyond 10,000 installs a day, but without success. We do not spend money on advertising. Our growth is entirely organic.

In this role you will…

  • Consolidate our various unsuccessful social organic growth initiatives under your supervision and develop new ones too.
  • Work closely with our data team to develop dashboards to report back to the executive team on a weekly basis, bringing clarity, energy and momentum.
  • Passionately drive community development. You will dive headfirst into our communities on a daily basis to amplify their voices and grow their numbers. You will identify and grow new communities too.
  • Work closely with our CEO to help tell our story. Your written communication is persuasive and succinct. You write short sentences. Like this one. It is second nature for you to authentically lead a complex conversation with a large online audience. And you have the ability to reply with a quick-witted one liner on Twitter too.
  • Manage a social media team member to grow our social media presence.
  • Lead an outsourced SEO team.
  • Run an automated inhouse email program designed to grow new audiences such as therapists, psychologists and coaches.
  • Drive any podcasting or PR opportunities for our CEO.

About You

You are driven and ambitious to see Insight Timer become the largest conscious community on the planet, but you are not combative. You work quickly, independently and without constant supervision.

Initially you will have very few resources at your disposal. But this won’t prevent you from doing your job. Over time, at least one year into the role, you will grow and lead a team of people to support your success.

Benefits

  • We offer competitive salaries and options.
  • The role is hybrid. We do not have an office but you will be required to collaborate in-person in Sydney.
  • Extra leave days for your wellbeing and birthday.
  • We have regular meetups and events.
  • A generous L&D budget & wellbeing bonus.

We dial in from all over the world, and it's important that our team is just as diverse as our community of users, customers and teachers. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status.

Even if you don't think you quite meet all of the skills listed or tick all the boxes, we'd still love to hear from you!
