Summary:
Age of Learning is seeking a Head of Merchandising role to oversee the Company’s existing and future merchandising strategy and execution end to end. In this role, you are a hands-on leader and collaborate across the organization to achieve revenue objectives. You are responsible for driving revenue growth and overseeing the user experience through strategic product selection, pricing, inventory management, and digital merchandising.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of online and retail merchandising landscape, and the ability to translate educational trends into effective product offerings—experience driving significant revenue growth with well-known consumer brands.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and execute a comprehensive and cohesive merchandising strategy utilizing both existing partnerships and garnering new opportunities that align with company mission and goals.
- Analyze trends in education, technology, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for product innovation and market expansion keeping in mind brand DNA and target audience.
- Lead the product selection process, ensuring a well-curated and diverse assortment of products that meet the needs of our target consumer.
- Develop and oversee digital merchandising strategies that enhance the user experience on the company’s platforms, driving engagement and conversions.
- Utilize data analytics to optimize product placement, recommendations, and overall user journey.
- Develop and manage pricing strategies that balance affordability with profitability, ensuring access to quality educational resources.
- Develop and manage the merchandising budget, ensuring alignment with both financial and educational goals.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics, including sales, margins, and inventory turnover, to inform decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in merchandising, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving growth and profitability through effective merchandising strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for education.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable merchandising strategies.
- Proficiency in merchandising software, digital tools, and data analytics platforms.
The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $175,000 USD to $240,000 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
