Job Title: Head of Marketing at Tandem Bank  
Location: Hybrid working from our London or Blackpool offices 
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 plus up to 30% yearly bonus and benefits 
Working week: 36.25 hours, Monday to Friday

Your Team 

The Marketing Team is at the heart of building our brand and growing a community of people who want to live a greener lifestyle. The team is responsible for everything customer facing. We ensure that the brand, products and services, are all positioned to drive curiosity, excitement, engagement, and purchase. Our aim is to engage with and, ultimately, help empower our community to live greener.  

You’ll be leading a fun, passionate, collaborative, multi-skilled Marketing team. 

About You 

We’re looking for someone who understands the power of using creativity to drive brand growth. Someone who can build a compelling case for marketing investment to Senior Leaders and Executives.  

You’ll be a marketing all-rounder, with a record of success in senior roles. You’ll have a solid understanding of marketing effectiveness and the ability to translate performance into tangible business value.  

You’ll be passionate about your specialism and have a view on what Tandem is doing well, and where we need to improve.  

An understanding of sustainability is key, as are ideas on how to create cut-through in a crowded space. We want to see big bold ideas and a willingness to take calculated risks.  

Transferable skills are as relevant as Financial Services experience. You may be agency side, looking for a switch, or you could be a senior marketer looking to make a step-up.  

We’ll want to see examples of your achievements across campaigns and promotions, product development, brand strategy and marketing effectiveness. You’ll be able to demonstrate the impact of your work, with quantifiable measures of success.  

Superb people skills are essential, including the ability and confidence to present updates to Tandem Executives and Board members.  

Finally, we need someone who will be able to inspire and lead our brilliant Marketing team.  

The role  

  • Strategy – fine tune and execute our marketing strategy. Make big prioritisation calls and know how to present a vision that delivers against our business objectives 
  • Voice of the customer – ensuring that the customer strategy and priority target audiences are embedded across all business areas and customer experiences   
  • Brand – lead the deployment of our refreshed brand positioning across customer comms  
  • Product – support the on-going delivery and enhancement of Tandem products and propositions  
  • Campaigns – oversee the delivery and performance of marketing content and campaigns  
  • Tech – oversee the delivery of our marketing technology stack and set the KPIs which will demonstrate marketing value  
  • Budget – oversight and accountability for all marketing spend 
  • Exco & board – illustrate marketing value and present regular performance updates 
  • Agencies & partnerships - manage relationships with external agencies and strategic partners
