The Opportunity
You are an experienced, confident, and inspiring marketer leading team of experienced managers and specialists across our newly formed Marketing Operations team across the Healthcare portfolio within Informa Markets, IMEA.
You need to have an eye for data and be analytical but with the ability to see the bigger picture, identify trends and drive change.
You should have extensive experience of marketing operations, a keen understanding of marketing ways of working, a customer-journey focused mindset and be accustomed to delivering in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
You are a vital part of the cross-functional marketing management team. Reporting to the Marketing Director – Healthcare, this is a crucial role enabling the growth of the portfolio. Your recommendations will come from a deep understanding of the marketing, transformation and agile ways of working. You will be responsible for transforming our ways of planning, delivering, collaborating and reporting.
Because you are accomplished at marketing transformation, you’ll lead a team of experts responsible for embedding agile marketing, managing our budgets and process, team governance and tools and technologies. You play a key role in the skills and development of marketing capability in partnership with marketing performance.
You drive the marketing calendar for the portfolio, removing barriers to delivery, ensuring performance and highest quality. You own the development of our client marketing delivery and play a fundamental role in increasing customer satisfaction and retention through excellent delivery. You’re focused on team productivity and creating an environment where teams feel like they’re innovating and developing. The teams you enable love coming to work and showcasing their work through our Agile Marketing.
You support the wider team in embedding agile marketing and the supporting tools and ways of working. You will partner with our event and commercial teams to influence and adapt ways of working across the portfolio.
Familiar and comfortable working in matrix structures where functional and commercial leadership and responsibility are shared. You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing a marketing operations function that enables the growth of our global Healthcare events and digital products with a focus on team productivity and effectiveness, as well as effective client delivery.
- Owning adoption of agile ways of working within marketing and assist in a scrum master capacity when appropriate.
- Delivering significant improvements in marketing productivity, ROI, and team satisfaction.
- Enabling significant improvements in client delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Owning our marketing planning process and cadence of activities to ensure results and quality.
- Partnering with Digital Marketing, Brand & Community, Attendee Marketing and Commercial Marketing to deliver on our marketing goals – drive new audience, increase engagement and customer satisfaction, and grow the portfolio.
- Partnering with teams outside marketing to improve process and productivity, as well as removing barriers.
- Working with pillar leads to improve the customer journey and increase customer satisfaction, owning the deliver of our event App and Attendee Registration across the portfolio.
- Enabling analysis of our marketing performance by partnering with Digital Marketing to improve effectiveness and ROI.
- Identifying gaps in skills, capability and resource and work with the Marketing Director and Marketing Management team to resolve.
- Ensuring the team works effectively to implement strategies using the full channel mix.
- Leading the team in marketing excellence.
- Owning the process to deliver digital products on behalf of our clients in the most effective and profitable way.
Minimum Education Level:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- An experienced marketing leader with 10+ years of people management and leadership.
- History of building high performing teams.
- Deadline driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Experience of marketing transformation and agile marketing (ideally Certified in Agile Marketing).
- Demonstrable experience of marketing transformation in a high growth organisation.
- Experience of Marketing Operations.
- Analytical with a data-driven mindset.
- A great collaborator, strong in both internal and external communications.
- Works effectively with consultants and agencies for expertise, support, and execution of campaigns.
Desired
- Marketing leadership experience
- Experience of using marketing automation technology (preferably Eloqua)
- Experience of working with CMS platforms (but coding knowledge not required)
- Strong experience of marketing analytics and reporting platforms (Google Analytics/Adobe or others)
- Experience using Eloqua and/or Adobe Experience Manager
- Events marketing experience
- Brand management experience
- Agile marketing experience
- Formal business/marketing higher education qualification
