Role Overview:
As the Head of Marketing Operations, you will play a critical role in optimizing our marketing processes, ensuring cross-functional teams are aligned, and delivering campaigns that drive a positive ROAS. You’ll be responsible for refining our marketing operations framework, making data-driven decisions, and leading the charge in improving our creative output across a fully remote and distributed team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Operations: Drive the overall marketing operations strategy, overseeing creative, copywriting, media buying, and analytics teams. Your goal will be to enhance efficiency and support data-driven marketing decisions.
- Process Optimization: Continuously identify areas for improvement in marketing workflows, reducing bottlenecks, and enhancing project turnaround time.
- Team Alignment: Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across remote teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Performance Monitoring: Track campaign performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations to optimize the marketing mix and improve ROAS.
- Leadership: Coach and develop marketing team members, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience: 7-10+ years in marketing operations, preferably in e-commerce or a direct response marketing environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and project management software.
- Remote Management Experience: Proven track record of leading remote or hybrid teams and optimizing marketing processes for distributed teams.
- Leadership Qualities: Ability to motivate, develop, and align cross-functional teams around shared goals.
- Mindset: A data-driven mindset combined with a passion for finding innovative solutions to complex problems.
KPIs:
- Improvement in marketing ROI and ROAS.
- Reduction in project turnaround time.
- Number of successfully launched creatives per quarter.
- Budget accuracy and adherence.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Daily Huddles: Conduct brief daily meetings with team leads to review key metrics, address any bottlenecks, and ensure everyone is aligned on priorities for the day.
- Data Analysis: Track daily campaign performance metrics (e.g., ROAS, creative output) and identify areas for improvement. Use data insights to guide optimization efforts.
- Weekly Team Rhythm: Establish a weekly meeting cadence for each marketing sub-team (creative, copywriting, media buying). Review project progress, discuss major issues, and recognize achievements.
- Campaign Prioritization: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with business goals. Clarify roles and responsibilities for each campaign.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate workflows to identify and implement improvements. Focus on enhancing speed, quality, and efficiency across marketing activities.
- Strategic Planning: Lead quarterly planning sessions to set top priorities. Ensure that all marketing activities are aligned with the company’s broader objectives.
- Coaching and Development: Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to review their development goals and ensure alignment with company values.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor the marketing budget weekly and ensure spending aligns with quarterly and annual targets. Adjust as needed to stay on track.
Salary: €55,000 - €80,000 annually + bonus 10% of salary
