Head of Marketing

We are looking for a Head of Marketing based in Amsterdam to join our Commercial team at Fastned. Together with over 250 colleagues (more than 40 nationalities) across 9+ countries, we have big plans: we are building a Europe-wide network of 1,000 beautiful fast-charging stations where electric drivers can charge their cars with energy from the sun and wind. We have recently been voted best charging network in the UK, France and the Netherlands, a testimony to our drive to offer the best charging experience to EV drivers!

Your role

As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading our marketing efforts and overseeing a team of creative professionals, digital marketers, and campaign managers. This will be a new role within Fastned and you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand identity, executing marketing strategies, and driving engagement across various channels. Fastned interacts with many target audiences: current and future EV- drivers, municipalities, landowners, investors, fleet owners and future employees. As the Head of Marketing, it is important that you make our brand and organisation visible, relevant and engaging for all of the mentioned target audiences. You are part of the Commercial Leads team, consisting of a Head of PR&Com, Head of Commercial Development and Head of Commercial Strategy&Pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth;
• Lead and mentor a team of creative professionals, digital marketers, and campaign managers to achieve departmental goals (currently 3 direct reports with the intent to expand the team further). Some team members are based in Amsterdam, some are in our other European offices;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with overall business objectives;
• Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, including social media, email, and paid advertising;
• Analyze marketing metrics and KPIs to track performance, identify trends, and optimize campaigns for maximum effectiveness;
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our marketing efforts.

Who are we looking for

You'll need more than just marketing expertise to excel in this role. We're seeking an innovative leader with a deep-seated enthusiasm for our mission. Additionally, you thick the following boxes:

• Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field;
• Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior marketing role, with a track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies;
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals;
• In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tactics and platforms, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing;
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions;
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
