The Orchard (a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment ) is seeking a Head of Label Management to join our team. This individual will be responsible for guiding our label management team to success, ensuring our clients' needs are met, and helping to shape the future of our company. The ideal candidate will have experience in the music industry, with a deep understanding of distribution and label management.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee a team of label managers and provide guidance and support as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our music label partners and clients.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow our music distribution business.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of music content to digital platforms.
• Collaborate in the management of product logistics inclusive of digital production, physical release planning, and product updates by way of Orchards technology systems and coordination with operation and supply chain teams.
• Monitor and analyze streaming and sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Guide release strategies and marketing efforts working with internal departments such as advertising, retail and interactive marketing, as well as hired teams.
• Attend industry events and conferences to network and stay current on trends and best practices.
• Evaluate label performance and identify areas for improvement
• Manage budgets and financials for label management division
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in the music industry, specifically in label management or distribution
• Proven leadership experience, with a strong ability to manage a team
• In-depth knowledge of music distribution and label management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate label performance
• Ability to manage budgets and financials for a division
• Experience working in a multinational company environment with a matrix organization, a strong skills in managing complex, multi-level relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
