As the Head of HR Operations at Carta, you will lead the HR Operations team while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to design, streamline, and optimize People Team processes and programs. Your mission will be to create a seamless and impactful employee experience, ensuring that HR systems, processes, and resources are aligned with the company's strategic goals and growth. This role demands a deep expertise in HR best practices, operational excellence, and a collaborative approach to continuously enhance efficiency and support the evolving needs of the business. You’ll be joining Carta’s Human Resources team, which includes Global HRBPs, HR Operations, and Employee Relations. Together, we support the broader People Team’s mission to unlock the potential of Cartans by leading the strategy, planning, and execution of cross-functional initiatives. We’re both big-picture thinkers and detail-oriented doers, committed to building trusted relationships and delivering a meaningful impact for both our people and the company.
The HR Operations function works closely with every team within the People organization, as well as other key internal partners, to design and implement scalable processes, systems, and infrastructure. We also maintain strong relationships with business leaders to ensure alignment and drive organizational success.
You’re an accomplished HR/People Operations leader who thrives in fast-moving, complex environments. You take a practical, systems-focused approach to solving problems, designing solutions that consider both the big picture and the details. You’re skilled at identifying inefficiencies and know when to remove barriers or turn them into opportunities for improvement.
You build strong, trusted relationships across the organization by combining operational expertise with strategic thinking and a hands-on approach to execution. You’re able to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment and understanding at all levels.

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:
$172,800- $216,000 in San Francisco and NYC
$164,000-$205,000 in Seattle
Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
