The Head of HR for Latvia, Lithuania & Romania for Operations & Business Support is an integral position responsible for spearheading our HR operations in Latvia, Lithuania, and Romania. This role will be in charge of directly managing an HR organization of around 40 people across our 3 studios. To support the quality and expansion of our operations, this role will need to combine strategic work aimed at supporting business needs and achieving HR functional excellence with a hands-on approach to daily HR duties. This role is based at our studio in Riga, Latvia, and requires regular travel to the other locations. This position is part of a global HR team and reports to the company's CHRO, located at headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
Your responsibilities:
- Execute and adapt the global HR strategy in the local markets, including initiating and managing the development of HR department business plans, objectives, and budgets.
- Together with the HR team, develop HR initiatives, approaches, policies, and procedures to achieve alignment among all functions and support achieving business targets.
- Manage and secure compliance with external laws and internal policies in HR department areas of responsibility, including Resource Planning & Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Engagement & Motivation, Compensation & Benefits, Personnel Policies and Procedures, Employer Branding, Health and Safety, Employee Relations, Performance Management, HR Analytics & Statistics, and Administration.
- Analyze and understand the business environment and local labor market trends to recognize success factors and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and oversee a recruitment strategy to attract quality talent, with a focus on gaming operations, management, and administration, and create strategic and tactical action plans to reduce employee turnover and increase length of service.
- Lead third-party negotiations with consultancy agencies, advertising and marketing companies, benefits providers, and insurance companies to ensure optimal collaboration.
- Higher academic or professional education in Human Resources or Business.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager with broad leadership experience, including managing teams across multiple locations and remote managers.
- Experience in developing and leading HR operational excellence, preferably in high-growth and high-volume recruitment environments.
- Experience building HR operations in both start-up and mature environments.
- Experience in talent acquisition, including high-volume recruitment for entry-level/customer-facing positions, as well as specialist and managerial recruitment.
- Experience coaching individuals at all levels and excellence in stakeholder management.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align with business needs.
- Ability to understand and manage cultural differences within a multicultural work environment.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and experience in legal reporting.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and ATS platforms.
- Fluent in English. Work execution is related to foreign countries.
