The Role
 
The local market Health Leader is responsible for leading, securing, maintaining, and growing the business in close collaboration with their team. They provide strategic advice and guidance to clients in achieving communication and business objectives.
 
They lead teams and oversee the development and execution of high-quality communications programs. A strong leader who, as part of the Australia Leadership Team, supports the team's objectives through the client's workstreams, organic growth, new business, and trainings, while supporting wider departmental activities via marketing, talent, and new business. Pap, lead, and contribute to organic client growth and the acquisition of new customer business.

Responsibilities

  • Health (ideally across all sub-sectors but specifically governments/providers and the healthcare industry) knowledge and experience with clients across the sector is a must.
  • Comfortable working within a global/multi-market team located in different offices and geographies.
  • Fluent in media and digital to consult across paid, earned, owned and be conversant in social, digital and offline approaches (e.g., trends in health, compliance considerations, relevant social platforms, audience channel planning, paid activations and reviewing analytics reports)
  • Experienced in business management, including forecasting, staffing/recruiting, and commercial negotiation.
  • Fluent English
  • Proactive, problem-solver who embraces diverse trends, skills, specialties and viewpoints.
  • Hands-on team player adding value, sharing creative ideas, and executing communications programs
  • Strong presentation skills: ability to articulate smart and sometimes complex solutions in a straightforward, lucid, polished, and persuasive manner.
  • Proven track record of winning and/or building business in the sector, building effective interpersonal relationships, and successfully navigating matrixed organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of, and experience of working across, all agency capabilities – e.g. Practices and Integrated Solutions – to help design winning solutions for/with client leaders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inform, educate and motivate staff, peers, and clients.
  • Proven ability to have impact and influence across senior teams
  • Team player and team leader who is results-oriented, proactive and has a strong work ethic. 

Profile

  • You will be a senior PR practitioner; you will have a passion for integrated work and an affinity for Pharmaceutical and Healthcare including medical devices and consumer wellness.
  • 15+ years in communications across client side or agency (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical PR/comms practices as well as medical device, and consumer wellness sub sectors
  • A confident and passionate leader
  • Be able to hold a room – whether it’s presenting to new clients or delivering research results.
  • The ability to manage a high performing and motivated team.
  • Strong agency business acumen and planning skills.
