Verona was founded by two serial entrepreneurs Mr. Poshak Agrawal and Mr. Rahul Subramaniam, and backed by some of the biggest names in global technology, such as Mr. Michael Novogratz (ex-Fortress Investment Group, CEO of Galaxy Group Investments) & Mr. Rishi Jaitly (ex-Twitter CEO for Asia, Middle East, and Africa).
Security and Science make the basis of Verona where before matchmaking there will be Fintech-grade authentication to ensure fraud detection. Through a deep appreciation for the science of compatibility, with Verona, we will be using AI for matchmaking based on an individual's core & shared values.

The Head of Growth will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Verona's growth strategy, including but not limited to sales, marketing, brand management, product development, user acquisition, retention, and monetization. This executive-level position requires a proven leader with a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for driving innovation in the online matchmaking industry.

- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, social media platforms, CRM systems, and performance analytics tools
Education and Experience-
- Master’s degree in Sales & Marketing or related field from Tier 1 colleges in India and abroad.
- 5 -7+ years of experience in global sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably within the technology or online matchmaking industry.
- Exposure to International Markets
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, user acquisition, and brand awareness through innovative marketing strategies and sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership and Growth Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, data-driven growth strategy aligned with Verona’s long-term objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, media, and product development to identify key growth initiatives for user acquisition, engagement, and revenue expansion.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging market opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
- Champion innovation and challenge the status quo to continuously elevate Verona’s market positioning.
2. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Drive revenue growth by leading the sales team to develop impactful sales strategies focused on increasing application memberships and premium subscriptions.
- Identify and build strategic partnerships and collaborations that extend Verona’s reach, enhance monetization opportunities, and drive mutual value.
- Analyze and optimize sales performance through metrics, customer feedback, and market data to refine pricing, promotions, and growth initiatives.
3. Marketing and Brand Leadership:
- Define and enhance Verona’s brand positioning, messaging, and creative direction to solidify market visibility and brand credibility.
- Craft and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, leveraging digital platforms, social media, influencer collaborations, content marketing, and experiential events.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive and compelling brand messaging across all user touchpoints.
4. User Acquisition and Retention:
- Develop scalable acquisition strategies across both organic and paid channels, driving traffic, app downloads, and registrations.
- Lead initiatives to enhance user retention through personalized experiences, loyalty programs, and engagement strategies.
- Use data-driven insights to monitor KPIs, optimize user funnels, and reduce churn, ensuring a high lifetime value of Verona users.
5. Product Development and Innovation:
- Work hand-in-hand with product and engineering teams to prioritize and introduce new features and enhancements that improve user engagement and experience.
- Advocate for a user-centric product development process by integrating market research, customer feedback, and competitive insights into the product roadmap.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance growth team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Empower team members to achieve ambitious goals, encouraging ongoing learning and professional development.
- Set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure team success.
7. Market Research and Competitive Strategy:
- Lead market research and competitive analysis efforts to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the matchmaking space.
- Regularly benchmark Verona’s performance against competitors and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Anticipate market shifts and adapt growth strategies to stay aligned with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
