About the role: 

In order to support Liftoff’s continued success and ambitious growth goals, we are looking for a Head of Global Compensation to join the company and support our team as we continue to scale globally. As Liftoff's Head of Global Compensation, you will be a part of the Finance team and report to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. You will be the subject matter expert and a key point person for all compensation related matters of our global team.

 

Location: 

This role is eligible to work out of any of our below North America office locations or is eligible for full-time remote work in one of the approved states below. 

  • US office locations: Redwood City (HQ), San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, and Seattle
  • Approved for remote work: California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah and Washington.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative support to our People Business Partners, Finance and Recruiting team related to compensation practices that support the talent strategy, address organizational challenges, and support key business priorities for assigned functional areas.
  • Be a thought partner for the HR and Executive leadership team for compensation and make data driven decisions, applying your deep expertise, and keeping your finger on the pulse of industry best practices, benchmarks, and the latest compensation approaches.
  • Lead development, implementation and administration of base, bonus and equity philosophies as well as compensation programs -  including merit and promotion cycles
  • Manage compensation details and ensure accurate and relevant Salary Survey data to maintain and update Liftoff’s compensation bands for new and existing roles
  • Have a deep understanding of internal HR compensation data requirements, assess gaps, and optimize systems and processes to help efficiently manage our HR function as we grow and scale our team globally
  • Prepare, communicate, and update policies and procedures related to the company’s compensation programs
  • Support the technical implementation, integration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of existing and new UltiPro modules
  • Provide timely support for internal and external audits 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10+ years global compensation experience: US and international regions (EMEA, APAC)
  • Experience with M&A and/or integration work combining compensation philosophies
  • Proven track record leading a team
  • Highly skilled in data analytics with impeccable attention to detail
  • Advanced expertise in Excel & Google Suite
  • Proficient with Salary Survey Databases (e.g. Radford)
  • Experience with global HRIS systems analysis and configurations
  • Ability to troubleshoot, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Experience at a fast-growing technology company
  • Ability to think on their feet, pivot and adapt to changing requirements
  • Proven ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
