At Brenger, we’re committed to transforming the bulky goods transportation landscape—from A to Brenger—making it smarter, faster, and more sustainable. Our innovative platform enables couriers to maximize their earnings while offering consumers affordable transport solutions for large items like beds, bicycles and sofa's. Since launching in 2016, we've saved over 14.8 million kilometers and more than 4,372 tonnes of CO2. Backed by loyal investors, we’re poised for significant growth in the re-use market, reshaping the secondhand economy and challenging traditional capitalist models by promoting sustainability and reducing waste.
As Head of Finance, you will play a key role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring our financial health. You’ll manage all financial operations and provide strategic guidance to business leaders, directly supporting Brenger's growth. This hands-on role includes overseeing financial planning, budget management, and cost-benefit analyses, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and monitoring risks and investments. While you'll take a lead role in these areas, you’ll be supported by our accounting firm to maintain financial integrity and compliance.
Financial Reporting (20%): Prepare accurate monthly financial reports.
Investor Relations (20%): Develop investor reports and play a key role in securing (VC) investment rounds. During fundraising periods, this responsibility will take up most of your time.
Forecasting and Budgeting (20%): Create and manage forecasts and budgets for various teams.
Optimizing Financial Processes (20%): Enhance and streamline financial processes throughout the company.
Cashflow Management (10%): Oversee cash flow and anticipate future cash requirements.
Risk Management and Compliance (10%): Manage financial risks and ensure compliance with relevant (financial) regulations.
After 12 months, your strategic vision will be embedded in our financial policies, operations, and organizational practices. You will independently run the finance department and successfully fulfill its responsibilities, including:
Taking on full ownership of business forecasting and budget management across all teams, ensuring sustainable growth and financial stability.
Playing a pivotal role when securing a next (VC) investment round for accelerating our international expansion, effectively showcasing the company's value and potential to investors.
Managing both internal and external financial reporting with accuracy and clarity.
Implementing a scalable internal framework for finance operations, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
You’ll be involved in most strategic decisions as finance plays a key role in all of them. As Brenger is at a tipping point of accelerating growth, in the long term, there are many opportunities to grow within Brenger, with the goal of becoming CFO.
