Stealth Co. is building a next-generation Utilization Management (UM) enablement platform that enhances the speed, accuracy, and quality of UM workflows. StealthCo's AI-powered platform empowers Health Plans to more rapidly authorize the most appropriate diagnostics and treatments to improve the lives of their members and the effectiveness of their teams.

About the Job

As our Head of Engineering, you will drive the technological vision and strategy for our early-stage startup, ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives. You will be responsible for shaping our technology roadmap, leading the engineering team, and overseeing the development and deployment of innovative solutions. This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise in technology leadership while playing a crucial role in building a scalable and cutting-edge platform. You will report directly to our CEO and work closely with the founding team.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and execute the technology strategy and roadmap to align with business goals.
• Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality technology solutions.
• Oversee the architecture and design of our technology stack, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with product management to define technical requirements and ensure timely delivery of features.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.

What you'll Need:

• Proven experience as a Head of Engineering or in a senior technology leadership role at an early-stage startup or startup-like environment. Healthcare experience is a plus!
• Strong technical background with expertise in software development, system architecture, scaling platforms/products, cloud and  AI technologies experience.
• Languages & Frameworks: Hands-on development experience with Python, Langchain, Celery,RabbitMQ, etc. Knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar AI/ML frameworks is a plus. Hands-on experience building multi-tenant SAAS platforms on Azure. Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) for deploying AI models.
• Hand-on experience building data products (knowledge of ETL) as well as building, training, fine-tuning and testing LLM and SLM models, and recommending models or frameworks to meet business needs
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• This role is fully remote, candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is preferred.

Full-time base salary of $160-195k plus equity & benefits.
