Therefore, a dynamic and innovative design agency, is seeking a talented and passionate Head of Digital Product Design to join our remote team.
This unique opportunity is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of both executing and leading teams in UX Research and complex B2B and B2C web applications and websites. You will be at the forefront of designing intuitive and impactful digital experiences for a diverse range of projects, including travel clients' B2B and B2C user portals, CMS-managed corporate websites, multi-user disaster management applications, and advanced web search tools and information architecture structures.

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor designers in crafting user-centric design solutions for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Manage the entire product design lifecycle, including research and discovery, gathering and documenting requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and rolling out solutions.
- Provide quality control over design outputs and production.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies; integrate them into our practices to enhance productivity and product quality.

Requirements
A qualified candidate will have:
- Leadership and mentorship experience in leading designers in crafting design solutions for web and mobile applications.
- Experience leading UX research and discovery (NN/g approach)
- Experience in gathering, evaluating and documenting user requirements.
- Experience working with stakeholders to develop KPI's and identifying user journeys.
- Extensive experience working directly with development teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Expertise in illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot UX and CX issues.
- Extensive experience in developing design systems for interactive interfaces.
- Proficiency in applying a human-centered design methodology and best practices to ensure that client needs and business goals are met and are on-brand.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in working on the full lifecycle of complex web/mobile applications, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Highly proficient in using tools such as Figma and FigJam.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects that demonstrate:
- A strong command of design principles and processes.
- Creative talent as well as refined design expertise.
- A post-secondary degree in design, marketing, data sciences, business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership in defining and iterating best practices and successfully implementing changes to the design process.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
